Introduction

Join the Rebuilding Lives Initiative for a dynamic community forum — not just a workshop — where residents, non-profit partners, and civic leaders will come together to collaborate, share, and take action on housing stability, workforce development, and mental-health outreach in District 3. Whether you’re active in campaigning, service, or just wanting to make a difference, this is your seat at the table.

Format & What to Expect

Two-part format: In-person attendance or livestream.

  1. Round-table discussions grouped by theme: Housing | Workforce | Health.

  2. Design your own action idea with peers.

  3. Sign up for ongoing volunteer and co-creation opportunities.

  4. Networking, media-friendly photo opportunity, and comments from local leadership.

Workshop Objectives:

  • Mobilize and amplify community voices — turning lived experience into collaborative action.

  • Map current assets and gaps in District 3’s ecosystem and recruit allies.

  • Develop one concrete actionable idea to launch within 90 days.

  • Build a contact network for follow-up and collective impact.

Agenda Overview:

  1. 1:30-1:45 PM: Welcome & Purpose – Why we’re here, Shared Goals

  2. 1:45-2:15 PM: Community Voices – Short updates from community partners

  3. 2:15-3:00 PM: Breakout Groups – Focused discussion on themes

  4. 3:00-3:20 PM: Group Share-Outs – Action idea presentations

  5. 3:20-3:45 PM: Action Table Sign-Up – Energy into engagement

  6. 3:45-4:30 PM: Networking + Leadership Remarks + Photo-op

Join us virtually via Zoom Livestream from anywhere in Merced County or beyond.
You’ll be able to:

  • Watch all opening remarks and key updates live.

  • Participate in breakout-style chat discussions moderated by RLI staff.

  • Contribute your ideas to the collective “District 3 Action Board.”
    A secure meeting link will be emailed to you after registration.

Option B: In-Person Forum

Join us at the Merced County Library – Gracey Room for a hands-on community forum.
You’ll participate directly in round-table discussions on:

Local leaders and community partners will also share remarks and join the networking session from 3:45 – 4:30 PM.
